✏️ General Feedback / Review: Tucked into Central Oregon’s high desert, Thousand Trails Bend-Sunriver offers a peaceful, pine-shaded escape with easy access to outdoor adventure. Just minutes from the Sunriver Resort area and a short drive to Bend, it’s a convenient basecamp for exploring rivers, lava tubes, and mountain trails.
Sites are generally quiet and surrounded by towering trees, though larger rigs (40'+) may want to scout ahead—some turns and sites can be a little snug. The campground infrastructure is showing its age, but repairs and upgrades are underway, which is promising.
On-site amenities include a pool, hot tub, mini golf, and sport courts—simple but appreciated, especially for families. The Deschutes River, nearby bike trails, and family-friendly activities like the Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory make this a fun spot for all ages.
It’s not the most polished park in the Thousand Trails system, but it’s affordable, scenic, and well-located for adventure. If you're looking for a budget-friendly home base near Bend and Sunriver, this spot is worth checking out.
