🏊🏻‍♂️ Amenities: YES PLEASE! Willow Tree answers the call on this one! They have an in-lake waterpark, a heated pool, jacuzzi and kiddie pool as well as a dedicated swimming area in the lake. In addition, there are miles and miles of nature trails and paths you can walk, bike, run or even rent a golf cart to explore. On the west side of the lake, they have multiple hammocks hung in trees where you can stop, relax, and enjoy the view. By the pool and waterpark, there is a snack shack where you can grab light refreshments, safety gear, and rent water equipment for the lake such as hydro-bikes, kayaks and more. They offer an “All Stay Pass” for $25 which gives you unlimited access to the water equipment (i.e. hydro bike, kayaks, etc.). There are also disc golf, pickle ball, basketball, and bocce ball courts. On the east side of the property there is a soccer field and area dedicated to lawn games. In front of the General Store, there is a dump station and RV wash area. There is no onsite restaurant; however, they routinely host food trucks. Willow tree also offers RV storage options. One of the things our girls really enjoyed was the owner’s classic car collection. While it is not advertised, if you speak with the front office, they will let you know if there are any events planned or if a special tour can be scheduled.

✏️ Additional Notes / Review: Ohhh how we LOVE Willow Tree! This has typically been our last stop of the summer with our neighbors. Living on the coast, our local schools normally convene after the rest of the state, so most vacationers are gone when we visit. Even so, when we were at the resort and all sites have been occupied, it still felt very open and not crowded at all. These are some of the biggest sites we have ever stayed at. The facility is meticulously maintained. Early in the resort’s development, they offered annual site rental and several lots on the south side of the lake where park model units are set up. While the annual rental of sites is no longer offered, you can purchase one of the park models with site rental if an owner decides to sell, but good luck with that… The staff is so friendly! The owner has a collection of classic cars onsite that he brings out for special occasions. If there’s not an event going on, you can speak with the front office and see if he’ll allow a private tour. He has an onsite mechanic that gave us a tour and ride in one of his cars. You’ll notice the trail and bridge around the lake are quite wide. We were told this was to allow his vehicles to be driven around the property. Such a cool place to visit! Every time we go, we feel like we didn’t stay long enough. If you’re heading to Myrtle Beach, this is a great option that let’s you enjoy the area, but not stay right in the middle of everything.
