✏️ General Feedback / Review: Nestled along the South Fork of the Tuolumne River, Thousand Trails Yosemite Lakes offers a peaceful, pine-shaded escape just five miles from Yosemite National Park’s Big Oak Flat entrance. It’s an ideal basecamp for exploring Yosemite’s waterfalls, granite cliffs, and scenic hiking trails while still enjoying the comforts of a full-service campground.
Sites range from tent spaces to full hookup RV sites, cabins, yurts, and bunkhouses. Larger rigs fit in many areas, but some loops can be tight—scouting ahead is wise for 40’+ setups. The park is well-maintained for a Thousand Trails and several upgrades are underway.
On-site amenities include a lodge with game room, playground, mini-golf, sports courts, hiking trails, fishing, creekside swimming, and a well-stocked general store. The riverfront location and access to Stanislaus National Forest offer endless opportunities for outdoor fun right from camp.
While it’s not the most modern resort in the Thousand Trails network, its location, scenery, and range of activities make it a standout choice for families and nature lovers. If you want an affordable and adventure-filled stay minutes from Yosemite, this spot delivers.
