Lynches River County Park (12 miles) – One of the best family-friendly spots in the area, with shaded walking trails, a boardwalk over cypress wetlands, a playground, picnic shelters, and a small nature center that’s great for curious kids.
Magnolia Mall (15 miles) – A convenient stop for families featuring kid-friendly dining options, treats, air-conditioned space to unwind, and occasional seasonal activities that give kids a break from travel days.
Timrod Park (16 miles) – A relaxed city park with playgrounds, open fields, walking paths, and plenty of space for kids to burn off energy while parents enjoy a low-key outdoor break.
✏️ General Feedback / Review: Our Harvest Hosts stay at Ellerbe Vegetable Farm was a solid and straightforward overnight stop. The setting is quiet and rural, making it a good place to unwind after a travel day. Parking was easy with plenty of space, and the location worked well for passing through the area without going out of our way. Harold was friendly, and we appreciated the opportunity to support a local farm by purchasing local produce. There aren’t extra amenities or activities on-site, but that’s expected for a working farm. Overall, it’s a simple, no-frills Harvest Hosts stay that does the job well—peaceful, practical, and a good fit for RV travelers looking for a calm place to park for the night. Special note, if you have a larger rig (40+ feet), parking and exit can be challenging if it has been raining. Recommend calling ahead.
